Clarification:
The text 'Rows 3 to 14 form pat for center 30 sts' is somewhat unclear. Actually it means that you have put the 16 sts of panel pat A in place and will repeat them over the full cable panel repeat of 28 rows. As well, the sts on either side of those 16 sts will repeat Rows 3 to 14 to continue a 12 row repeat of cable-work. To state this more clearly, the text should read: 'Cable Panel Pat A is now in position. Repeat Rows 3 to 14 for side pattern.'
Project 29: On Your Toes
LEG
"Repeat last 10 rounds 6 times more, then dec round once [60 sts].
Redistribute sts evenly on all 4 needles [15 sts each ndl].
Cont even until sock from CO meas 18”.
Project 30a: HAT
Work only the ribbing on the smaller (Size 5 US) circular needles. After the 2” of ribbing, change to the gauge circular needles (Size 7 US). Switch to the Size 7 US dpns as needed.
Project 30b: MITTENS
Work only the ribbing on the smaller (Size 5 US) dpns. After the 3” of ribbing, change to the gauge dpns (Size 7 US).
Project 30c: SCARF
Work scarf on Size 7 US needles.
